Freshwalks Conquers Moel Famau

The Merseyside and Manchester Freshwalkers joined forces on Friday 5th May at  Loggerheads Country Park to take on the 15.5km trek up and around the breathtaking views of Moel Famau.

The group of 30 walkers (and three dogs) climbed up through farmland and heather fields to the peak of Moel Famau, the highest of the Clwydian Range, above the spruce forest below.

Despite a chance of thunderstorms on the way up and a few rainy periods, hikers enjoyed a glorious walk, while meeting and networking with like minded professionals, in an event sponsored by  Bathgate Business Finance and Haines Watts and led by the fantastic Freshwalks team.

Bathgate Business Finance BDM, Paul Trickett, said: “The weather was kind to us in the end, but it was great, as ever, to have Michael Di Paola and Martin Murphy’s expert guidance and ‘Plan B’ just in case!

“The day was filled with great company, fascinating chats, some glorious sunshine, breathtaking views and a well-earned pub meal at the end. Freshwalks are a great opportunity to get out of the office, meet new people and build long-lasting business relationships.

“In my opinion this was the best Freshwalks event the Merseyside Business Community has experienced since we began our collaboration – we can’t wait for the next one!”
